I will miss all my chats with Emma Lou. We had many over the years. She was a life long friend of my mother’s. They first became fast friends when teenagers and working at McCoy’s. She went on to become a dear friend to me. I loved hearing about life on The Home Front during WW11 and all her other life experiences. Rest in peace dear friend, Carol Farrar

Over the years,  I have so much enjoyed my  friendship and chats with Emma Lou. She and my mom first became fast friends when they were teenagers and worked at McCoy’s. She was a wonderful life long friend to my mom and continued that friendship with me. I have appreciated hearing all her stories of life on the home front during WW11 and other insights into life. Her wisdom will be greatly missed.

I got to know Emma as she lived in the Cedar neighborhood at VMRC with my Mother Virginia Hulvey. My favorite memory was on her 103rd birthday, she was asked to make a wish… her wish was that they all would be together on her 104th birthday!  What a beautiful wish from a very special lady💕

Rest in peace dear Emma Lou.  I will miss you every day, but know you are with all your family and loved ones.
It was my blessing to have known you and cared for you.
