Gene Calvin Snyder

Gene was born March 23, 1933, in Lacey Spring, Virginia, and was the son of the late Myrtie and Elbert Snyder.

He graduated from Harrisonburg High School and attended Madison College. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Midway during the Korean War. Gene was a member of the Harrisonburg Lions Club, the Harrisonburg Elks, and Asbury United Methodist Church. Gene enjoyed spending time with his family and friends on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and loved to travel to different parts of the world.

He is survived by his wife, Jo; his daughter, Tracy Robison, and grandson, Steven, both of Virginia Beach; and his son, Craig, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The family will receive friends at their home on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
