She was a homemaker for most of her life but after her husbands death she went to work for Avtex Fibers in Front Royal. She later worked for Strasburg Automotive (Lear) and at Woodstock Memorial Hospital before retiring to take care of her mother. Gladys loved her family dearly. She would also faithfully send birthday, get-well and Christmas cards to everyone she knew. She was a kind and loving soul and she will be missed by many. Gladys always had her doors open to anyone and they would never leave hungry or empty-handed. She loved to bake pies and was known to have the best fried chicken in the world.
