Grace Virginia "Bill" Feagans

She was born on March 25, 1916 in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of the late Joseph Samuel and Mary L. Proffit Dovel.

She graduated from Bridgewater High School and Dunsmore Business College in Staunton. In 2000 she moved back to Harrisonburg from Ft. Walton Beach, Florida where she had resided for over 40 years. In 1973 she retired from Eglin Air Force Base in Eglin, Florida, which is the largest base in the world.

Mrs. Feagans was a member of the Shalimar Methodist Church in Shalimar, Florida and attended the Mt. Crawford United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Business and Professional W. C. of Fort Walton Beach.

On Jun 18, 1948 she married Cecil Boyd Feagans, who preceded her in death on January 28, 1998. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, James T. Dovel, Harry J. Dovel, and Frank T. Dovel; and two sisters, Frances Evans and Katherine Early.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Heinrich and Rev. Helen Zottoli officiating.

Interment will be at Beal Memorial Park in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
