Harold Craun Hasler, Sr.

Harold Craun Hasler, Sr., 91, a resident of Harrisonburg, died November 20, 2017 at Sentara RMH Medical Facility in Harrisonburg. A son of the late Homer and Laura Craun Hasler, he was born on August 25, 1926 in Harrisonburg. He served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Hasler retired from Southern States in Hampton, GA, after 25 years of employment. He was a lifetime member and trustee of New Hope Christian Church; also of the VFW Post #632 and American Legion Post 188. On April 20, 1946 he married Rachel Clifford Hasler who survives. Also surviving is a son, Harold C. Hasler, Jr., of Harrisonburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Granville Hasler. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 24, 2017 at New Hope Christian Church with Pastor David Robichaud officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
