

She was born on October 6, 1916 in Greene County, and was the daughter of the late Matthew Breeden and Addie Dean Breeden Haney.
She was a seamstress and had been employed with San Car for 30 years and was also postmaster at the Hinton post office.
On August 3, 1935 she married Edward W. Wease who preceded her in death on December 6, 1989.
She is survived by her children, Leroy Wease and wife, Fern; Martha Blizzard and husband, James; Lynn Wease and wife, Sara; Robert “Bobby” Wease and wife, Teresa; Mary Jane Staples and husband, Larry; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Wease; fourteen grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Samantha Frances Spence and husband, Jordan, and a number of special nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Betty Wease, Bobby’s twin, and son, Gary Arnold Wease; a sister, Florence Breeden Harris, two brothers, Roy E. Breeden and Dallas Breeden; and one great grandson, John Phillip Armentrout.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 30, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 1, at the Harrisonburg Mennonite Church with Pastor Mark Keller officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
Our family would like to thank Lori Neil and Gretta Schwartz for the loving care that they gave to our mother and also to Southern Care Hospice; it was well appreciated by the whole family. Also thanks to special neighbors and friends, Sallie Wade, Chet Wade and all our other neighbors. May God Bless each and every one.
