Kari enjoyed traveling to the beach, following global sporting events such as the Tour De France and the Olympics, and tending to her plants and yard. Above all, she loved animals. Whether she was caring for her own pets, visiting zoos, or looking after strays around Harrisonburg, she had a passion for animals of all kinds. She proudly survived two battles with breast cancer.
She is survived by her sister, Shari Hardy (Craig) of Midlothian, her two nephews, Zach Hardy (Sagra) of Jacksonville, FL and Ben Hardy (Alli) of Pittsburgh, PA, her stepfather, Don Poe of Roanoke, stepmother, Joyce Good of Harrisonburg, stepsisters Leslie Keck (Mike) of Harrisonburg and Tammy Dellinger (Rick) of Harrisonburg, stepbrother, Jason Poe (Kim) of Trinity, NC and stepsister, Jennifer Woliver (Stephan) of Belmont, NC.
She is predeceased by her father, Joseph Good and mother, Brenda Poe.
Kari was a Bible-believing Christian, and we pray that God grant her the peace and healing that eluded her on Earth.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Harrisonburg SPCA or Meals on Wheels.
A graveside service will be held 11 am, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with Pastor Jim Harrison officiating.
