Kenneth Paul Hartman Sr.

Kenneth Paul Hartman, Sr., 93, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015. He was born November 2, 1921 in WV and was the son of the late Clarence and Elsie Lough Hartman. Kenneth attended school in Franklin, WV. He has resided in Harrisonburg for more than 45 years and was a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Pauline M. Hartman; a son, Kenneth Paul Hartman, Jr. of Winchester; three grandsons, John D. Hartman and wife, Jayanne of England, Michael P. Hartman and wife, Renay, of Winchester, and Mark D. Gnik and wife, Kerry of WV; four great-grandsons, Joseph D., Jacob D., and Peter Hartman, and Gavin Gnik; and three great-granddaughters, Abigail and Ashley Hartman, and Sydney Gnik; four sisters, Virginia Spitzer, Treva Kimble, Thelma Mallow and husband, Noah, and Patsy Munneke; and three brothers, Clarence, Marvin and wife Betty, and Bill Hartman. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Ona and Raymond Hartman; and three sisters, Beulah Murphey, Sylvia Hammer, and Elsie Warner. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 6 -8:00 pm and also Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 10-11:00 am at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Kay Gentry officiating. The family has requested that there be no flowers.
