Kenneth Franklin Moyers

He was born on January 27, 1955 in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Harold Kenneth and Anna Mae Conley Moyers.

Kenny grew up in the Lacey Springs community and graduated from Broadway High School. He had made his home in Dayton since 1985. He was a supervisor at Shenandoah Food Processors for many years and was a pressman at Branner Printing in Broadway. He was a member of the Harrisonburg Moose Lodge.

Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing men’s softball, Nascar and the visiting with family and friends at the cabin in West Virginia.

On June 9, 1990, he married Mary Pope Moyers, who survives.

He is also survived by a step-daughter, Amy N. Davis and her son, Cayden of Dayton, a son, Brian Puffenbarger and his daughter, Brynelle of Harrisonburg; three sisters, Doris Rodeffer, Pat Clinedinst, and Cathy Hoover all of Harrisonburg; one brother, Harold “Moses” Moyers of Harrisonburg; father-in-law and step-mother-in-law, Roy and Wanda Pope of Timberville; and numerous nieces and nephews .

He was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Taylor, a foster brother, Donnie Conley, and mother-in-law, Doreen Pope.

Mr. Moyers will be cremated at Lindsey Funeral Homes and Crematory in Harrisonburg, and a memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Chapel of the funeral home.
