She was born on June 6, 1928 in Norfolk, and was the daughter of the late Monroe G. and Beulah Waters Whitehorne.
Laura attended schools while in Norfolk, and in 1970 moved to Timberville. She was employed with Rockingham Poultry until she retired at age 62.
In 1970, she married her husband, Clifton Vincent, who preceded her in death on December 29, 2009.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Light of Timberville; three stepchildren, Ann Vincent, Clifton Vincent, Jr. and Cindy Lou Vincent all of Carsville, VA; and numerous step grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, numerous brothers and sisters, preceded her in death.
Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services.
