Lennie Mae Ward

Welcoming, caring, kind, and always reaching out for a hug, Lennie was the very definition of the word, "mom." She will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter, Jeremiah Ward and Kayla Jeanna Mae Calo, as well as her "adopted" daughter and son, Kodie Ward and Frank Calo, her grandchildren, Zachary and Kylie, her two loving sisters, DonnaJean Sansom and Diana Miller, and her nephew, Isaiah "Kiddo" Curtice Pettaway of whom she was so very proud.

Lennie's smile would brighten the whole room when she entered. She always entered a room smiling. Her whole face bright, eyes wide, excited to see you. She had a special way of making friends wherever she went. She will be missed by the many fond friends she made all throughout her life, including her partner John, and her furbabies, Remmy and Monet.

Lennie's memory will live alongside the memory of her late mother, Shirley Jean Samples, her late grandmother, Eloise Jones, and her late furbaby, Whiskey Biskit who will always remain by her side, the good boy he was. Lennie cared for her family with unconditional love, never-ending support, and gracious guidance.

She was a retired LPN who dedicated her nursing career to helping to comfort and care for so many. She loved to dance. She loved to sing. And she absolutely loved crab legs. Her kids were immensely proud of her and thankful for everything she did for them. They will miss and always love her, to the moon and back.
