She was born on June 5, 1947, in Woodbridge, and was the daughter of the late Casper Ray and Iva Nell (Thompson) Moyers.
Linda attended Broadway High School, and she worked at Walmart for many years. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved her dogs and cats.
On June 19, 2004, she married Garry L. Gainer, who preceded her in death on May 24, 2012.
She is survived by a daughter, Tina Chrisman (Craig) of Staunton; two sons, Matthew and Marcus Nesselrodt both of Keezletown; her grandchildren, CJ and Cassidey Chrisman; a brother, Ron Moyers of Harrisonburg; a brother-in-law, Ernie “Tater” Gainer (Cindy) of Broadway; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, two brothers, Johnny and Ray Eugene Moyers, preceded her in death.
The family would like to give special thanks for the compassionate care given to Linda by Sentara Hospice.
