Louise Sites Bowen

Mrs. Louise Sites Long Bowen, 81, formerly of Harrisonburg, who had been making her home in Staunton since 1981, died Wednesday morning at the Kings Daughters Nursing Home in Staunton.
A daughter of the late Stanley and Elizabeth Wenger Sites, she was born on July 4, 1930 at Keezletown. She was educated in the Rockingham County Schools and graduated from the Linville-Edom High School. Mrs. Bowen, along with her husband, was engaged in construction prior to her retirement in 1997. She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Staunton.
Her husband, Paul R. Bowen, survives her. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Richard Bowen of Bridgewater; and Donald Long of PA; one daughter, Sheree Long of Staunton; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Stanley Long.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 17th at 3:00 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church,
2001 N. Coalter Street in Staunton.
Her body will be cremated at the Lindsey Funeral Home and Crematory in Harrisonburg and online condolences may be sent to the family at www.lindseyharrisonburg.com
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to Valley Mission, 109 Lew Dewitt Blvd., Suite F, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
