
She was born on May 19, 1923 in Shenandoah County and was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Pennywitt Emswiler.
Louise lived her entire life in the Mt. Jackson and Shenandoah County area; she graduated from Triplett High School and was a seamstress at Blue Bell in Mt. Jackson, Massanutten Military Academy, and she volunteered at the Mt. Jackson Library. She was a member of the Mt. Jackson United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed good health, traveling, cooking, and reading until May of this year.
She was married to Forrest Owen Dellinger who preceded her in death on August 23, 2000. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Alan Dellinger; a sister Annalee Hollingsworth; and brothers, Billy, Dale and Charles Emswiler.
Surviving are a son, Forrest Lee Dellinger and wife, Bonnie, of Harrisonburg; two grandchildren, Jill Early and husband, Kevin, of Richmond, Lane Dellinger and wife, Lisa, of Wirtz, VA; and a great-grandson, Aiden Forrest Dellinger.
Louise requested to be cremated and that all services be private.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Life Care Center in New Market for the kindness and care that they have been shown.
