She was born in Rileyville, Va., and was the daughter of the late Daniel Simon and Edith Lorrine Shenk Abbott.
Mildred graduated from Luray High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church.
On September 19, 1960 she married Raymond R. Robinson, who preceded her in death on February 14, 1999.
She is survived by a son Charles Daniel Robinson of Bridgewater; a brother, Daniel H. “Jack” Abbott of Rileyville; a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Lucielle “Bet” Bruce, Margaret Frances “Kate” Abbott, Dorothy Irene Abbott, Doris Virginia Kemp, and Edith Lorrine “Polly” Somers.
A funeral service will be held 12:30 PM, Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, with Rev. Isaac Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
