

She was born on June 12, 1921 in Stuarts Draft, VA and was the daughter of the late Otto J. and Anna Weaver Good.
Mildred graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School and attended Eastern Mennonite College.
Mildred was an active member of Mill Creek Church of Brethren and was a former Sunday School Teacher. She was a Secretary at Shenandoah Manufacturing where she retired in 1978. She was an accomplished artist and seamstress and well known for her hospitality. She will be dearly missed.
On May 25, 1973, she married Ernest F. Simpson, who preceded her in death February 10, 1996.
Surviving are two daughters, Judith Ann Stanley (John) of Geneva, NY and Nanci Miller (Richard) of Staunton, VA; one son, Eric C. Simpson of Neotsu, OR; one grandson, Christopher Miller of Waynesboro; a brother, Ethan J. Good (Shirley); and an adopted mother to her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James D. and Pierce F. Good; and one sister, Cathalene Barnhart.
The family will receive friends from 7:00–9:00 pm Monday, May 19, 2014 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
Pastors Lee Kinsey and Nathan Hollenberg will conduct a memorial service at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Mill Creek Church of the Brethren. Private burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Bridgewater.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Mill Creek Gethsemane Sunday School Class.
