She was born on January 11, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Otis F. and Hazel Branch Landis.
Frankie was born and raised in Harrisonburg. She graduated from Harrisonburg High School in 1954 and later from James Madison University. She was a lifelong teacher and taught school in Northern Virginia before retiring and moving back to Harrisonburg. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two nephews, Thomas W. Richardson and wife, Dana, of Harrisonburg, and James F. Richardson and wife, Sandy, of Richmond. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Sue Landis Richardson.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg with Rev. Wayne Wright officiating.
