Paula was a former volleyball player of mine. She was a joy to coach. She was always excited and bouncing around. She had a wonderfully spunky personality. What she lacked in height, she made up for with motivation and determination. I will always remember her smile. I am so very sorry for your family's loss. I hope you find peace and comfort during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of knowing Paula in her 4th grade year at Spotswood Elementary. We were new to Harrisonburg and Paula and my daughter, Julianna, became friends and Paula visited our home to play together. I remember seeing your family so often that year and for the year after at all the school events while we lived there. Our girls were so blessed the end of that 4th grade year when Ms. Martin took Julianna and Paula to a science museum in Richmond.
I cannot begin to tell you how my heart breaks for your family. May your beautiful, sweet girl rest with God til you are all reunited.
God bless and be with you always. You have our prayers, our sympathy, and condolences from our whole family.
Please reach out to me if you would like me to see if I can find some pictures and I'll be happy to send them to you.
Sincerely,
Daly-Anne, Ed, Julianna, and Isabella Morano

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember teaching Paula dance at Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation when she was about 4 or 5 years old. Sending my thoughts and prayers to her family.

I played volleyball with Paula, and she was incredibly kind, friendly, and funny. Sometimes during practice I would look up and she would be dancing to whatever music was playing- she brought so much positivity. Mr. and Mrs. Moreira, and Santi, I'm so sorry for what you're going through, and I'll be thinking of you all.

I am so sorry to hear about Paula’s passing. I coached her when she swam for Westover. Her excuses to stop swimming always made me laugh (and rarely got her out of the pool, which she accepted good-naturedly). Mr. and Mrs. Moreira and Santi, I’m thinking of you all with much love during this difficult time.
