She was born on January 3, 1935 in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of the late Goldie Humphrey Keyton.
Phyllis was a homemaker and a member of the Salvation Army church.
She is survived by her sisters, Barbara A. Knight, Betty Cogar and Linda Roach all of Grottoes; two half-sisters, Anita Urangea of Harbor City, CA and Evelyn Sanborn of Front Royal; two nephews, Richard Southers of Waynesboro and Jeffrey Kibler of Staunton.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Freddie and Gaylon Humphrey.
A graveside service will be held 11 am, Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg with Pastor Jimmy Kite officiating.
