She was born on August 19, 1927 in Rockingham County, a daughter of the late Russell P. and Virginia Scott Miller.
Mrs. Holsinger lived her entire life in the Harrisonburg area and attended Main Street School and Harrisonburg High School, where she was a drummer in the Harrisonburg Girls Band.
Reva worked at James’ (Hershey’s Soda Shoppe) and Peoples Drug Store in downtown Harrisonburg. She retired from Imco/Brockway where she worked for many years as a material handler and was one of their first female mechanics. She attended Victory Fellowship Church.
On June 1, 1946, she married Linden F. Holsinger, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2011.
Reva is survived by two daughters, Sharon H. Andrews and husband, Stephen, and Faye H. Botkin and husband, Rusty; and daughter-in-law, Beth Nardi Holsinger all of Harrisonburg; six granddaughters, Kristi Andrews Humphrey, Kaitlyn Andrews Fretwell, Emily Jean Holsinger, Natalie Virginia Holsinger, Morgan Botkin Layman and Allison Nicole Botkin; and one great-grandson, Jack Dean Humphrey, III.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Lanny S. Holsinger.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 on Saturday afternoon, March 17, 2018 at the Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, with Pastor W. L. “Sonny” Henkel officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon, from 1:30 until 3:00 prior to the service.
