Diane and I were saddened to learn of the passing of Bob Scott. We first met Bob and Sarah Scott when we moved to Harrisonburg in 1983 when I joined JMU as Dean of the College of Business. I had the pleasure of working with Bob for 12 years and had tremendous respect and admiration for him. He was a wonderful colleague and personal friend during our time at JMU and I will always be grateful for his friendship and support over the years. In addition to serving as Vice President of Student Affairs, he served for two years as Vice President of Academic Affairs and was an outstanding leader in both roles. Bob was a remarkable person of character and integrity in all of his dealings with whomever he came in contact with. May God continue to bless the Scoot family. Robert Holmes, Eagle, CO

We feel so blessed to have enjoyed your family as neighbors. Both Bob and Sarah enjoyed life and let us share with their beautiful laughter, their ability to grow trophy flowers, and their genuine love of life. We send these thoughts with our love.

Carrie and Family -- Brian and I will forever hold warm memories of Bob. We enjoyed getting to know him during Sunday dinners at he and Abbie's home, our children's school events, and Outer Banks beach vacations. He was such a kind and compassionate man, who had a great sense of comedic timing! He will be greatly missed.
