Royal Daniel Kincheloe

Mr. Kincheloe was born on November 6, 1914, and was the son of the late Mary L. and Philip R. Kincheloe. He graduated from Harrisonburg High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. His entire work career was spent at Harrisonburg Wholesale Grocery Company where he began as a stock boy and retired as manager and part owner. He was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg where he served as a Deacon.

Mr. Kincheloe is survived by his wife of 72 years, Elese E. Kincheloe, a son, Phillip L. Kincheloe of Harrisonburg, a daughter, Denise K. Schnitzer and her husband, Al, of Chesapeake, VA, a sister Ardath Sutherland of Sandston, VA, a step-grandson, Courtland Rodamer of Harrisonburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Leroy Kincheloe, brother Jack Kincheloe, and sister, Nancy Nichols.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, at First Presbyterian Church, Court Square, Harrisonburg, with the Dr. John Sloop officiating. Burial will be held privately.
