He was born on January 3, 1965 in Savannakhet, Laos and was the son of the late Keo and Chone Syharath.
Sengsuri enjoyed hunting, fishing, his truck driving job and a good cup of black coffee with no cream or sugar. He also enjoyed time spent with his family.
Sengsuri was in the trucking business for over 20 years. He enjoyed and appreciated everyone at the Shenandoah Trucking Company. He was never a stranger to anyone and he greeted everyone with a huge smile. He embraced life with open arms and was grateful for all that he had.
He is survived by his wife, Manivanh Manichanh of Harrisonburg; two daughters, Manila Manivong and husband, Joel Quinones, of Harrisonburg and Virginia Manivong of Port Washington, WI; a son, Inphorn Manivong of Virginia Beach, VA; three granddaughters, Nahtallee and Leela Liambounheuang of Harrisonburg, Athena Quinones of Harrisonburg; one grandson, Kou Xiong, Jr. of Port Washington, WI; a sister, Phimphone Syharath of Harrisonburg; two nieces, Kelly and Dianna Syharath both of Harrisonburg; a nephew, Justin Syharath of Baltimore, MD; a step-daughter, Happy Chanphengxai of Vang Vieng, Laos; and a step-son, Monee Chanphengxai of Vientiane, Laos; a niece, Mali Siharath of Milwaukee, WI; three nephews, Lee, Lung and David Siharath all of Milwaukee, WI.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bouaphanh Siharath and a sister, Phetsamone Syharath.
The family will receive friends 1-3 pm, Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Following the service, Mr. Manivong will be cremated.
