She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Virgil Rexrode, Sr.; her mother, Mildred Ellingsworth; her stepfather, Thomas Ellingsworth; a son, Michael Wayne Campbell, Jr.; her brother, Michael Rexrode, Sr.; and her nephew, Michael Rexrode, Jr.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Theresa Kirby Campbell, Tina Campbell Flippin; her son, Randy Rexrode; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry Virgil Rexrode, Jr., Johnny Keeler and Stanley Keeler. She also is survived by her best friends for many years, Joyce Dolley, Elizabeth "Libba" Green and Mabel, her soup maker.
Sharon had a lot of friends who felt her warmth and generosity; she was everyone’s mamma and everyone’s angel. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Jerry Shifflett, who she raised and made to go to school in his last high school years, he was like a son, close friend and son-in-law, all in one.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends at the AMVETS, where she was a member, at a later date. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering a truly remarkable woman and our angel.
