

Aileen was the youngest of four children born to Tip and Ethel McNeil Harkins on April 19, 1936 in Claiborne County, Tennessee. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Greers Chapel Baptist Church.
Aileen attended school in Claiborne County, graduating from Forge Ridge High School in 1955.
On September 10, 1955 she married her one true love, Ewing Dillis “Dick” Bolton. They eventually moved to Franklin, Ohio and made their home there. They were blessed with 47 1/2 years of marriage before he was called home in 2003.
She attended cosmetology school and owned her own beauty salon before being employed by Franklin City Schools for 30 years, retiring in 1999.
Her life was anchored in her faith, being a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years and in her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and canning, crafting, quilting and time spent with family and friends.
Aileen was predeceased by her parents, husband, and a son Troy Randall “Randy” Bolton, brother Ray Harkins, sisters Edith Seale and Evah Vannoy, Father and Mother-in-law Charlie and Nellie Fortner Bolton; brother-in-laws Pete Seale, George Vannoy. Duffield, Winster, Doyle and Bill Bolton; Sister-in-laws Mary Harkins, Thelma Venable, Helen Crockett, Gladys, Anna Ruth and Virginia Bolton.
Aileen leaves to cherish her memory son Dillis R. Bolton and wife Monica. Three Grandsons; Hobart and wife Rachel Mabry, Caleb and wife Erin and Avery Bolton. Five Great Grandchildren, Douglas and Lucas Ingram, Rory, Bailey and Annie Bolton. Special nieces Wanda Coffey and Tammi Bowling, Special sister-in-law Mary Bolton along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be September 30 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio from 4 to 7pm. Funeral following conducted by ministers Andy Carney, Josh Carver and Scott Young.
Family will receive friends on Saturday October 3, 2026 from 1 until 3PM at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate TN. A graveside service will follow in the Greer Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Hobart, Caleb and Avery Bolton, Douglas and Lucas Ingram, Zachary Bowling, Doug and Joshua Harrison.
Honorary pallbearers: Barry Bowling, Vann Bolton and Von Crockett.
