Ms. Carrie Branscomb, age 98, of Speedwell, TN, went through the door to enter her Heavenly home on May 12, 2026 at the Tri-State Nursing Home. She loved her Lord very much and was a faithful member at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist all her life, joining the church in May 1945. She enjoyed singing His praises. Carrie also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. In her spare time, she was a talented quilt maker.
Carrie was born on April 6, 1928, to parents Roscoe "Bud" Branscomb and Sarah Graves Branscomb. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Mossie Jane Branscomb, Vestina Branscomb, and Parsetta (Arvil) Braden, and brothers, Floyd Branscomb, and James "Jim" (Helen) Branscomb.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Branscomb, brother William and wife Cedilla Branscomb, sister-in-law Cleo Branscomb Marshall, as well as several nieces and nephews who she dearly loved as her own.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and help throughout her illness, as well as the staff at Tri-State Nursing Home for their care.
Aunt Carrie, you saw a lot of changes through the years but you never changed with them. You stayed faithful. We will see you again.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with the funeral to follow at 7:00 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate. Interment will be on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Hill Cemetery in Speedwell at Pine Grove Church. Anyone wishing to go to the burial is asked to meet at the cemetery.
