Danny Lee Massengill, age 72, was born on June 1, 1954, and passed away on August 28, 2026.

In life, Danny was a foreman at the Middlesboro Tanning Company and a driver for Old Dominion Freight Lines. He was an avid reader and a friendly talker with a great love for his family.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel (Shackleford) Massengill; brother, Van Massengill.

He is survived by his son, Curtis Lee Massengill; his ex-wife, Kathy Massengill; brother, John Earl Massengill; nephew, Jonathan Massengill; as well as a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate. Funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM. Burial will be on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Ellison Cemetery at 150 Winter Ln, Tazewell, TN 37879.
