James Edward McNew

James Edward McNew, age 68 of Franklin, TN. Passed away April 15, 2016 at his home. He was a member of Christ Fellowship Church, past Master of Monroe Lodge #27 Free and Accepted Masons and was a Royal Arch Mason. James retired from General Motors after 39 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace & Gracie Haun McNew; brother, Louis McNew and sister, Jean McNew. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth Bomia McNew of Franklin TN; Sons, Ryan E. (Emily) McNew of Bon Aqua, TN. And Brett A. (Rebecca) McNew of Tullahoma, TN; brother, Thomas E. McNew of Monroe, MI; sisters, Lucille McNew, Jeanette Maddox and Nila McNew all of Speedwell, TN.; grand children, Emilie, Madeline, Jessie, Tristan, Ryan II, Juliana and Canaan McNew; great-grand child, Castiel Lyle. Funeral services will be conducted 5:00PM Sunday, April 17, 2016 with visitation from 2-5PM prior to service at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Rev. Brett McNew and Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to the Christ Fellowship Church. Visitation will also be 2-8PM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate, TN. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 20,2016 at McNew Cemetery, Rev. Marvin Simmons officiating.
