Robert V. Carman

Mr. Robert V. Carman age 75 of Cumberland Gap, TN passed away at his home on Tuesday March 13, 2012. He was a member of Summey’s Bridge Missionary Baptist Church and was ready to go home to the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Carman and Clara M. Gulley, first wife, Wilma Grace (Killion) Carman; sister, Ola Mae Keyes, half sister, Mary Ruth Walker and son-in-law, James M. Barnette.

Mr. Carman was a farmer all of his life and had many other talents such as bee-keeping, carpentry and steel construction with Langley/Morgan Corporation. He lived a full life and touched the lives of many people of whom he encountered over the years, especially his neighbors. He aided in the raising of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. All of his family were all raised to believe that life on the farm is hard but fun and rewarding.

He is survived by his Wife: Linda (McMurray) Carman

Daughter: Wilma P. Barnette

Grandchildren: Brandy S. (Willard) Ball and Claire M. Pierce

Great Grandchildren: Sarah Jane Ball, Robert Jordan Weaver, William Colby Weaver and Kaylie Grace Weaver

Sister: Pansy Mayes of Rockwood, MI

Half- Brother: Charles (Patsy) Carman

Half- Sister: Opal Chumley and a very special Aunt: Stella Duncan Epperson

Several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He will be sorely missed by many, but we know that he is at peace now in Heaven.

The family will receive friends Thursday night from 5 until 7 P.M. at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate, TN. With funeral service to follow at 7 P.M. Thursday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel at Harrogate. Burial in the Kibert Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. Friday March 16, 2012
