Sherry Evans

Sherry Lynn Evans, age 60, of Speedwell, Tennessee (Red Hill Community) passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Tri-State Nursing Home in Harrogate, Tennessee after a brief illness. She was born September 13, 1962, to the late James and Opal (Leach) Evans. Sherry was saved at an early age at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She worked for several years at Wal-Mart in LaFollette, Tennessee. Sherry enjoyed reading, and playing with her dog, Dixie, and going on spontaneous trips to the beach, and touring tiny houses. . Sherry is survived by her special friend and companion Johnny Carmack, as well as her beloved fur baby Dixie Lynn both of Speedwell, and her special niece Katey Corum of Knoxville, Tennessee. She is also survived by a host of cousins and friends. Special thank you to Melinda Gerding, Tommy Belcher and Suncrest Hospice for their gentle care and attention. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate, Tennessee. Receiving of family and friends will be from 1:00 until 2:00 with funeral services to follow at 2:00 with Wesley Womack officiation. Reading of the obituary by Rev. Gary Mundy with music by Bobby Womack. Graveside services will follow in the Town Creek Cemetery in Speedwell, Tennessee. Serving as pallbearers are Chauncy Beeler, John Beeler, Bradley Carroll, Andy Welch, Jerry Lee Branham and Kyle Evans. Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
