Born at home in Edgemont, (Cleburne County) Arkansas on January 2, 1930, Alma was the third of five siblings, two boys and three girls to parents Floyd Justin Rollins and Cordia Smallwood Rollins. Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Pauline; brother, Roy Edward; brother, William D. (Bill); sister, Jean and husband Joe Cauldwell of Springfield, Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Louis E. Bradford; sons, Kenton Bradford and wife Glenda of Tampa, Florida, Edward Bradford and wife Joan of Bossier City, Louisiana; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
At age seventeen, in 1947 she married the love of her life, Louis E. Bradford of Shirley, Arkansas, recently celebrating 75 years together. She accepted Christ as her savior at the age of 20 and was a faithful member of six different churches as a military wife before coming to Barksdale Baptist Church more than 51 years ago. Her motto for life was: “Only one life, ‘twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last!”
She fought the battle with Alzheimer’s for more than four years and won when the Angels carried her to “Glory Land”!
The family would like to thank Ricarda Carlisle for the loving care she gave to Alma for the past two years.
