Alma Kathryn Vascoe

Kathryn was born on December 23, 1931, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Dacre and Ina Norris. Her life was a journey of faith being a minister’s wife for over 47 years and a Sunday School teacher for over 55 years. She was a mighty prayer warrior who taught her children by example to love and serve Him. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.

She is survived by her children, Mary Kathryn McCoy, Hope King and husband John, Becki Vascoe, James Vascoe, and Lori Edmonson and husband Ron, her grandchildren, Adam King, Lindsey Calderon and husband David, Jared Vascoe, Lelia Edmonson, Delaney Vascoe, Stacey Edmonson, and Cole Edmonson, and great grandchildren Mikaela Calderon, Gabriel King, Mason Calderon, Autumn King and Aviel King as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

We would like to thank the staff of Willis Knighton Pierremont, Roseview Nursing Center, and Amedisys Hospice for their loving care of our mother.

A Celebration of Life for Kathryn will be held Monday, April 15, 2024 beginning at 1pm at Bossier Life Church, 1701 Old Minden Rd. #37, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held prior to service time Monday, April 15, 2024 from 12pm until 1pm at Bossier Life Church, 1701 Old Minden Rd. #37, Bossier City, Louisiana.
