Princeton, La—Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Alta Wood will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at Hillcrest Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. with interment immediately following. Officiating will be Rev. Calvin Hubbard and Rev. Glenn Alderman. Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Wood was born April 13, 1913, and passed from this life August 19, 2011, at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, M. O. “Dip” Wood. She is survived by her children: Margie Labby, James Wood (wife, Dorothy), Cleaver Wood, and Brenda Wood; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Belle Park Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
