Angela Dantin Vascoe

Angela Dantin Vascoe, 34, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was born January 16, 1977, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Angela made her roots in both Bossier City and Lafayette, LA. Growing up in Bossier City, Angela was a Parkway Panthers cheerleader. After graduating high school in 1995, she attended Louisiana State University in Shreveport and double... majored in Finance and Accounting. She also was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Angela worked as a Retirement Plan Administrator.

Angela enjoyed many activities. She ventured in cake baking and decorating, numerous arts and crafts projects, organizing anything, and had a love for shopping. She had a passion for animals of all sorts. Her heart was so big that she would rescue any animal in need.

Funeral Mass Service will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Shreveport, LA 2:30 pm. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial, Haughton, LA.

The family will be receiving family and friends for visitation Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home from 5 – 8 pm.

Preceded in death by Paternal grandparents, Harris and Effie Dantin

She is survived by loving husband, Christopher Vascoe and their daughter, Madison. Father, Lee Dantin and wife Karen; Mother, Renee Hebert

Maternal Grandparents: Darrel L. and Ina (Dolly) Hebert

Aunts/Uncles: Cheryl Hebert and husband, Max Langlinais; Darrel L. Hebert Jr.; Janice and John Richardson; Cherriline and Randolf Lawrence

Cousins: Justin Langlinais, Patrick Loughlin Jr., Connie Buquet, Jener Bowles, Jared Richardson, Kimberly Armand, Onschele and Aaron Toups.

Stepbrothers: Todd and Jared Yore

In Laws: “Mom and Dad,” Paul and Lee Leon; Alan and Michele Vascoe and their daughter, Avery; Paula Leon Vascoe Goins and her children, Jeffrey and Elizabeth Goins

Animals: Cat, Alex Vascoe; Pugs: Magnus Maximus Vascoe, Leonidas Vascoe, and Venus Vascoe; Fish, Beta Vascoe.

Preceded in death by: 3 cats - Abigail, Connor, and Lexi; 2 hamsters; 2 gerbils.

Her best friends: Ann Shine Emperley and Jackie Goyne

The family would like to give special thanks to Angela’s oncologist, Dr. Anil Veluvolu and Nurses Gloria and Stephanie; The staff of the Willis Knighton Cancer Center and the Assessment Center. Thank you to Dr. Amol Takalkar of the Biomedical Research Foundation for friendship and support. Thank you to Lorraine and Blaine Rabalais for their love, support and help with from the early years of Maddie’s life. Thanks to Mrs. Jan Rogers of Bellaire Elementary for her loving care of Angela’s daughter, Maddie. They would also like to give thanks to her Parkway High School Classmates, numerous friends, and the Shreveport/Bossier Community for their support.
