A Visitation will be held to celebrate the life of Barbara Joan Pittman at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023 with a Graveside Service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. with Justin Haigler, of Simple Church, officiating.
Barbara, affectionately known as "Schmoo", was born in Jennings, LA on September 10, 1943. She graduated from Coushatta High School in 1961. Barbara was a longtime resident of the Shreveport-Bossier area. She worked at G & G Distributing for many years and retired from APL Logistics.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Pittman; special friend, Michael Blount; parents, Elmer and Shirley Youngblood; and brothers, Bill Durr, Adrian Youngblood and Perry Youngblood.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Annalisa LeFebvre and husband Chris; son, Louis "Trey" Townsend, III and Delorice Parker; grandchildren Nick Gavin Townsend and Zade Thorne Townsend; and her lifelong friend, Betty Kyson.
The family would like to thank the physicians and staff at Willis-Knighton Pierremont Hospital for their care and kindness.
