Barbara "Bobbie" Powell

Bobbie was born on November 19, 1942 in Breese, Illinois and passed away on June 5, 2022 in Bossier City, LA. Bobbie loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and especially her great grandkids. She loved bar bingo at the VFW, gambling at the boats, and a shot of Patron every now and again. Those that knew her knew she was full of life and would give you her honest opinion even if you didn’t ask.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry “Joe” Powell; and her parents, Phillip and Lucille Haas.

Bobbie is survived by daughters, Kelly Horne (Greg) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Krissy Shelton (Bill) of Bossier City, LA, Nikki Bland (Robert), of Marshall, TX; grandchildren, Craig and Alyssa Horne of Fairfax, VA, Carly Horne of Vienna, VA, Alex and Alexis Shelton, Baton Rouge, LA, Taylor and Chris Campbell of Denver, CO, Michael Shelton of Bossier City, LA, Ashley and Cody Lee of Benton, LA, and Hunter and Alex Bland of Haughton, LA; and great grandchildren, Greyson Lee, Eliana Bland, and Connor Horne; and sister, Kathy Jasper.
