He is survived by his father, Jimmy Cash, loving wife Candace Ann Cash; his children Kristin Cash Gills and husband Jason; Emily Michele Cash and fiancé Darren Warren; Trey Kevin Cash, and Ethan Robert Cash; his siblings Gary Cash and wife Susan, Jeff Cash, Cindy Minor and husband Todd, and Angela Hooker and husband Phillip; and his grandsons who were the light of his life Brandon, Braydon, Boston, and Brody Gills. Honorary pallbearers will be The Shreveport Fire Department. Todd was a very respected and dedicated member of the Shreveport Fire Department for 30 years. He spent 12 of those years as the EMS supervisor, and in January of 2013, he reached the rank of Battalion Chief. Many commendations were awarded to him for his professional and caring dedication to his community. He also worked in the Emergency Room at Willis-Knighton South for 28 years as a paramedic and a scribe. He was a very loved and admired member of their staff. Todd was also one of the original crew members on Air Rescue from 1990 to 1993, as a flight paramedic. In every aspect of his life, Todd was dedicated to solely serving his community and helping others. He had such a heart for serving the Lord, and this was a way he could manifest this desire. An untold number of lives were saved in this community due to his talents, professionalism and dedication. Our community had within its midst a true hero watching over it. In addition to his job dedication, Todd loved hunting and spending time outdoors. It was his favorite way to unwind and spend time with the Lord and his friends. It was a great passion for him and made him happy. However, Todd was never happier than when he was spending time with his family. His wife, children and grandchildren were the true joy of his life here on earth and he made sure they all knew. He was a truly devoted family man. Todd would want everyone to know that he loved the Lord and tried daily to show this love in the life he led. Memorials may be made to: The Professional Fire Fighters Credit Union in honor of Todd Cash. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Susan Cash. She is the rock for our family and we cannot express enough our appreciation for her. You may share your memories with the family by visiting

I was so deeply saddened by this news!! I will never forget when Cory was in 3rd grade and cut his foot at school and needed stitches. Cory was hysterical and his dad was in hazmat school and couldn't leave and all Cory wanted was a fireman!! So I ask the Er to find a fireman and Todd was there to SAVE THE DAY!!! My heart and prayers are with ALL of you in this time!!!

Todd Cash was the inspiration behind me becoming a Fire Fighter and a future paramedic. Although my time knowing him was short lived, He made a life changing impact in my future. Thank you Mr. Todd. I send my sincerest sympathy to his daughter and her family. Kristin, Your Father is a hero among men. I hope I can inspire just one person like he inspired me.

Though I haven't spoken to or seen Todd for many years, I still remember him from my JIA years and the Tabernacle. His smile, laughter and his natural ability to lead will no doubt be missed by many. Prayers to his family and coworkers.
