Services celebrating the life of Betty Jacks, 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018 with daughter Denise Jacks-Persall officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Betty was born to Anna and Sidney Wann on September 3, 1933 in Fort Worth, Texas. She died on May 30, 2018 in her home in Haughton, Louisiana with her loyal companion, Prissy. Betty met her husband Dale in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1952. She married him and he whisked her off to France where their twin sons were born. Their daughter was later born in Kansas. They were married for 63 years. He was the love of her life.

She worked hard all her life. She followed his career in the Air Force raising their children on many Air Force Bases throughout the world. She worked at Dillard’s Department Store and then as Office Manager for their business after her husband retired from Barksdale AFB. She loved working in her yard, craft projects and especially her children and grandchildren. She was a woman of faith and in her later years really enjoyed attending Bellevue Road Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Sidney Wann, and her husband, Dale Eldon Jacks. She is survived by her sons, David Jacks (Susan) and Dale Jacks (Kathryn) and daughter, Denise Jacks-Persall (William); grandchildren, Jennifer Bordovsky (Steve), Kristi Brazzel (Chad), Katy Triefenbach (Jeremy), Emily Jacks, Amy Eggen (Curt) and Nathan Persall; great grandchildren, Garrett, Gray, Blaze, Ryleigh, Amelia, Oliver, Hannah, Heidi, Hazel and Rose and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Jacks, Dale Jacks, William Persall, Curt Eggen, Garrett Allums and Gray Allums. Honorary pallbearer will be Blaze Brazzel.

Donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project in Mrs. Jack's memory or to the charity of choice.
