Our Beverly left her earthly body and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 23 rd ,
2019, a month shy of her 88 th birthday. This leaves me with the privilege of writing this notice to the
people that knew and loved her.
Bev was truly one of a kind, a creative mind to rival any. She saw the world as her canvas. There wasn’t
anything she couldn’t paint or paint “on”. From gourds to rocks, from goose eggs to sawblades… she
even turned her gas tank into a watermelon. Beverly was an accomplished artist. She opened, “Bev’s
Four Seasons” out at her farm where people would come from towns all around to get a peek at her
artwork and crafts and take painting classes.
Bev wasn’t only an artist, she had many talents. She could sew and cook and do anything else she put
her mind to. She made some of the best cinnamon rolls and homemade chicken and dumplings.
Beverly marched to the beat of her drum in all of the most amazing ways. She had a deep love of the
ocean but also loved a simple life on her farm in Missouri. In the early years on the farm, she and her
husband raised bison, of all things. The bison would regularly step through the fence and go hang out at
the neighbor’s house. She had peacocks, chickens, ducks and some ornery old geese among other
things.
She took everything in stride. I suppose with six kids and husband in the military, one would have to. But
Bev made it all look easy.
She was well known and loved in her community and was very involved with her church, Sacred Heart.
To know her was to love her and for those who remain here, to miss her dearly. She was an amazing
daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was always there to
support her family.
This letter is but a tiny fraction of all that she did and who she was. I believe one of her best talents was
making memories with those she loved. An amazing gift she’s left with all who knew her.
The world may have other awesome women in it but none will ever hold a candle to our beautiful,
