Mrs. Minnis was such a sweet spirit. She was always super kind to me. She played a big part in my childhood. My family and I lived across the street from her and Mr. Minnis. Mr. Minnis treated my brother like his son.  Mrs. Minnis would always let me come over and play with her cats, toys, stuffed animals, and give me candy.  They always made Christmas special by giving us a tub of peanut brittle every year. I was always so captivated by her collection of things, especially the gnomes! I will cherish those childhood memories forever and how she insisted I call her Beverly everytime I would call her Mrs. Minnis. Rest in Heavenly peace Ms. Beverly and Mr. Minnis. Forever grateful for the love and gratitude you have shown my family.

She was a true lady in manner and style. Kind, intelligent, sophisticated and generous. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and always held on to the values taught to her by her parents. She saw the good in everything and was willing to help anyone who needed it.  She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and the world was a better place with her in it.  

What a privilege to have you for my Grannie. I will miss talking to you, and I wish you were still here to tell me stories of growing up on 8th West in Salt Lake.  I will treasure the memories of the good times we had together. Thank you for taking me to museums, to see ballets, to the symphony, to musicals and to the opera. Thank you for sharing your appreciation of music and art with me, and  for teaching me to use good manners and proper English. I learned so much from you, and I hope you know how much you mean to me. Ye gods and little fishes in the brook, I sure miss you, Grannie.
