Billy McMillan

Billy was born on July 16, 1958 in Bossier City, LA to R.E. McMillan, Jr. and Charla (Ashworth) McMillan. He was a graduate of Benton High School. He was a machinist for most of his life, owning Machine Services in Plain Dealing, LA for 20 years. He worked at International Paper in Springhill, LA for many years and was currently at Integrated Power Services in Shreveport, LA until the day he could no longer work. He was a big sports fan, loved yard work and tending to his flowers, being around his family, and loved his dogs and ducks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Brenda Sue McMillan.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandra McMillan; children, Emily McMillan, Nikolaus McMillan, Kim McMillan Smith, Robert McMillan, Michelle Jenkins and Michael McMillan; numerous grandchildren; brother, Robert McMillan and wife Cynthia, “the dogs” Gabby and Izzy, as well as many extended family members and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Billy McMillan, 66, at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the many years of care provided by Dr. Anil Veluvolu and Dr. Veron Browne of Willis Knighton. Nurse Dentravious Mahoney of Ochsner 7th Floor for his outstanding care and compassion and The Carpenter House.
