

SHREVEPORT, LA – Services celebrating the life of Billy Marshal Wilson will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 02, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel officiated by Chaplain Dana Casey and Rev. John Harp. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving guests on Saturday, August 01, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born on March 5, 1927 in Foreman, AR and passed away on July 30, 2015. Billy was a longtime member of Northwood Baptist Church and served as a Deacon for several years. He not only overcame many challenges in life, he exceeded expectations. He enjoyed family, fishing and flying. He was a private pilot and a mechanic, much of his career was spent as a mechanic for RBW Motors in Shreveport.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Marshal and Winnifred (Akin) Wilson; wife Betty Jean Wilson and sons, Billy David Wilson and Robert Alan Wilson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; sisters, Charlene McDonald and Peggy Kite; sons, Terrell Wayne Wilson and wife Shelley, and Thomas Michael Wilson and companion, Sherry Wilson; daughters, Susan Wilson Chapman and husband Billy, and Karen Wilson Bison and husband Bubba; grandchildren, Robert Chapman (Miranda), Ryan Chapman (Christian), Andi Lea Wilson Johnson (Terrance), Lori Wilson Bertolet (Grant), David Wilson (Stacey), Katherine Wilson, Heather Harris (John), Joshua Evans, and David Bison (Michelle); and great-grandchildren, Evan, Ethan, and Evangeline Whatley, Molly and Johanna Harris, Elijah Hicks, Hannah and Noah Bison, Collin Wayne Chapman, Dylan Johnson, Kinsley Peyton and Brandt Tyndall, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Robert Chapman Ryan Chapman, David Bison, Joshua Evans, Jonathan Kennedy and John Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Whatley and David Wilson.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Live Oak Nursing Home, Willis Knighton Hospice, and especially Kathy Nelson, his caregiver, for the comfort and care shown to Mr. Wilson and the family.
