Bonnelle "Bonnie" Yvonne Madden

Bonnelle “Bonnie” Yvonne Summers Madden, age 86, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026. Bonnie was born January 27, 1940, in Richmond, Missouri, to the late Francis Settle and Denzil Summers of Richmond, Missouri.

Bonnie continued her education after raising her children, earning a degree in and working in bookkeeping for several years, then devoting herself wholly to her family. She took great pride in managing her home, its finances and caring for her family, creating a loving, welcoming environment for everyone around her. She was a devoted Christian, an avid churchgoer, enjoyed Bible studies and volunteering with the church sewing ministry.

Bonnie was a loving mother and wife, an early bird, a reader and passionate about staying active, that included keeping herself and the entire family engaged in everything from Christian softball leagues, boy and girl scouts, countless activities, rarely missing her weekly fitness lady club friends and their social lunch, church activities, to family travels for camping and fishing nearly every weekend.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Steven Wayne Madden and family of Shreveport, Louisiana, daughter Mona Madden LeFeat and family of Manning, South Carolina, brother Kenneth Minnick of Kansas City, Missouri, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many other beloved nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was predeceased in death by her loving husband of 69 years, J. D. Madden, her sister, Shirley Pat Summers, her brothers Charles Minnick and David Minnick, son, Robert Dewayne Madden and daughter, Lisa Yvonne Madden.

Visitation will be held 2:00 to 4:00pm, Sunday September 27, 2026 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 US Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037. Graveside Service will be held at Gravelly Cemetery, Foreman, Arkansas where Bonnie will be laid to rest aside her beloved husband on Monday September 28, 2026 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be presented at the donor’s choice.
