Byron Warner Southerland

Celebration of life service for Byron Southerland will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Rev. Allyn Stroud will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.

He was a member of Martin McClanahan Lodge and El Karubah Shrine for several years. Byron also retired from the Bossier City water plant in August, 2001.

His greatest enjoyment is life was working as brick mason.

Byron was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dottie; sons, Steve (Cheryl) and Donald (Beth) Southerland; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be: Mason, Steve and Donald Southerland, Austin Morris, Rodrick and Clayton Moss. Honorary pallbearers will be Aidan Southerland, Barry McGee, Richard Bolin and Aaron Kelly.
