Carlos Zamora Jr.

Shreveport, LA – Carlos Zamora, Jr., 73, passed away on February 3, 2012 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Funeral services for Mr. Zamora will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel in Haughton, LA with Father Pike Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park with full military honors. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2012 with a rosary service at 5:00 p.m.

He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, and spoiling his grandchildren.

Carlos was preceded in death by his father Carlos Zamora, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Josephina Zamora, wife Jo Ann Zamora, son Chuck Zamora, daughter Felicia Zamora and husband Scott Hawthorne. Grandchildren include Margaret Huddleston and husband Josh, Colton Johnson, Chris Zamora, Carlee Zamora, Jonathan Hawthorne and great granddaughter, Trinity Zamora, sisters, Mary Lara and husband Jose, Tina Altamirano and husband Jose, all of San Antonio, Texas, sister, Dora Alcorta and husband David of Everett, Washington, brother Alex Zamora and wife Cathy of Duvall, Washington, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Colton Johnson, Donald Johnson, Tom Page, Conner Page, Roy Dowling and Duane Huddleston.

The family would also like to thank the seventh floor, west staff, at the Overton Brooks VA Hospital and their oncology clinic, as well as the staff at Grace Home of Shreveport.
