

Christine graduated from Egan High School in 1957, she furthered her education by attending the University of Arkansas; missing home she transferred to Louisiana Christian University. She was a head start teacher in Hayes, LA and Lake Charles, LA.
She loved spending quality time with her children and grandbabies, visiting with family and friends. Christine enjoyed spending time outside tending to her rose bushes, gardening, picking blackberries and going to her favorite fishing hole. She loved crocheting, crafting, painting shirts and making scrapbooks filled with photos and special notes for her loved ones. She especially loved sharing memories with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Minor Lee "Kobert" DeRouen; son, Lloyd "Bubba" DeRouen; grandson, Tommy Trahan; granddaughter, Leigha Ardoin; parents, John Phillip Clark and Johanna Elinor Todd Clark; maternal grandparents, James Todd and Charlotte "Lottie" and Tom Hughes; paternal grandparents, Howard and Mary Eliza Sharp Clark; Brother, John "Butch" Clark; very special aunts, Lena Clark Clark Alfred and Alma "Tommie" Clark Strain; uncles, James "Jimmy" Alfred; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Regile and Ozea DeRouen; brother-in-law, Elden Credeur and longtime best friend, Petty Mott.
Christine is survived by her sons, James "Jim" Wilson and Joel "Joey" Wilson and wife Christina; daughters, Mechelle DeRouen Thompson, Lena "Tudie" DeRouen Rubio and husband Roman "Lucio", and Kathy DeRouen Gates; daughter-in-law, Karen Wooldridge DeRouen; grandchildren, Harmony "Nikki" (Tommy), Heather (Eric), Brittany (Ryan), Laken, Hunter (Jillian), Briley (Austin), Hayden, Baylee (Kai), Emilee, Sabrina, Dylan, Jennifer, Ryan, Roman, Julie (James), Diego, Diana, Shane, Brandy, Courtney, Toby, Lee and Chelsea; honorary family members include: Richard "Bubba" Warren, Lesa Wilson, Christopher Thompson, Jennifer Davis. She will also be missed by her great grandbabies; sister, Phyllis Clark Credeur; brother, Edward "Eddie" Clark; sister-in-law, Carolyn Clark; and many special nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank nurses Keke, Angie and Katina, who went above and beyond to care for our Momma.
