Carolyn Brewer passed away on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, after complications from COVID-19. A celebration of the life of Carolyn will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 2-4 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel at 601 US-80 East, Haughton, Louisiana.
Carolyn was born October 14, 1955 in Albany, Georgia to Harlen and Elaine Swisher. Carolyn enjoyed working in the gaming industry at Eldorado Resort, shooting pool, loving her animals, and spending time with family and friends. Carolyn never met an animal she did not like and dreamed of opening a huge animal rescue so every animal could have a home. She loved her family and friends and treasured every moment being Mimi to her grandchildren. We will miss her infectious smile, kindness, compassion, and ability to always see the good in everything.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Harlen and Elaine Swisher and brother Michael Swisher. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Stoney Brewer; her children Shannon Scott Hanson and husband Tim, Rick Scott and wife Joley; and her grandchildren Baye, Katherine, and Parker. Carolyn is also survived by her sisters Terry Fesperman and husband Rick, Sandy Nelson and husband Terry, Cindy Keller and husband Erich, and a host of nieces and nephews.
