

Celebration of life service for Carolyn Ann Martin Crochet will be held at Hill Crest Funeral Home on Sept. 30, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Larry Mills of St. Jude's Catholic Church will be officiating and entombment in Hill Crest Memorial Mausoleum will follow. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time.
Carolyn loved life and taking care of her family. Of her many talents she enjoyed southern cooking, sewing, and being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her father, Sherel A. Martin, mother Addie C. Martin, son, Calvin J. Crochet, Jr. and beloved pet, Hercules.
Carolyn is survived by two brothers and three sisters, Sherel A. Martin, Jr., Audrey Falzon, Claire Wiliams, Richard Martin, and Teresa Olivier, two daughters, Cynthia Kennington of Shreveport, Connie Bardett and husband Ken of Haughton, two sons, Clay Crothet and wife Nicole of Shreveport, Craig Crochet, and her life companion of twenty years, Edward Baldwin of Bossier City. She is also survived by grandchildren, Dana Coya and husband Manny of Bossier City, Megan Kennington, Landon Kennington, and Lucas Moncla of Bossier City, Blake Crochet of Shreveport, and her beloved pets, Sam, Ratco, and Tinkerbell, numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
Pall bearers will be Clay Crochet, Craig Crochet, Landon Kennington, Lucas Moncla, Steve Guell, Bobby Hartley, with Buck Williams and Thomas Olivier serving as honorary pall bearers.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Christus Schumpert or charity of choice. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Neelima Chintapalli and staff, Christus Schumpert Oncology and the entire Christus Schumpert nursing staff.
