Carolyn's life centered on her Family, her children and ESPECIALLY her granddaughters. Maria, Erin and Brooklyn (great-granddaughter) absolutely could do no wrong as far as Grandma was concerned. Her love for her family was really special during the Holidays when she would fill the house with the aroma of holiday meal preparations and cover the table with pies, cakes, cookies and all the other goodies that made the season even more special to her Family. Our Momma loved everyone and didn't have a mean spark in her. She will survive forever in our hearts.
Carolyn's First Baptist Haughton Church family was dear to her as well. Her friends and Sunday School classmates kept her stable and focused on her Lord and Savior. Their Prayers were a special and important part of her spiritual health. Carolyn was Blessed to Serve in the church Nursery for ten years, where she hugged on the little ones while rocking them to sleep.
Carolyn's husband, David, depended on her for strength and support from the beginning of their marriage, August 8, 1970, until she was called home to Heaven 55 years and one day later. When work kept him away from home he knew he could depend on his wife to take care of their family so he could focus on his work. His life challenge now is to carry on without his soul mate. He will depend on cherished memories to sustain him during this journey until the Lord reunites them again.
