Catherine Eason Monroe

Sister Monroe was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Monroe, Sr.; one sister, Lizzie Jenkins; one grandson, Johnathan Clarkson; one granddaughter, Destin Ruffins; and one nephew, Jeremy Walker.

She leaves to cherish her memory; two sons, Donald Monroe, Jr. (Unlunda) of Blanchard, LA and Jonathan Monroe of Benton, LA; two daughters, Tonya Datcher (Keva Sr.) of Shreveport, LA and Twanna Monroe (Lonnie Johnson, Jr.) of Bossier City, LA; two brothers, Napoleon Eason, Jr. and David Eason; three sisters, Cary Nelson of Bossier City, LA, Mamie King (Donald) of Bossier City, LA and Ruth Hunter (Bobby) of Columbia, S.C.; thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held for Sister Monroe at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Dr. Eric Simms. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the stateroom.
